We are a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant with a kitchen that specialises in contemporary small bites and plates. Our menu boasts an eclectic mix of offerings that cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences. Our wine list is extensive, and we have a cocktail menu which focuses on the classics with our own twists and edits. All of our menus are constantly changing and being refined. We’re planning to host events as often as we can, so far this year we’ve run a cocktail menu launch night, a wine tasting event, and a three day Valentine’s set menu.

At bia, our drinks are designed to pair perfectly with our culinary creations and shine in their own right. We take pride in presenting a fine selection of high-quality wines and a variety of classic cocktails, including some unique house creations. We also serve high quality coffees and teas all day.

Head Chef George Nolan
Bia’s head chef George Nolan, a former student of Leiths School of Food and Wine, has returned to his hometown from the busy London fine dining scene with bold intentions. He worked under one of Fat Duck’s former senior chefs Rishim Sachdeva at Tendril in Mayfair. This experience showed him what’s possible in the world of gastronomy. Nolan leaves no stone unturned, this is a chef that has worked in restaurants of varying cuisines. He even started his own London plant-based pop-up ‘fungi kitchen’ which celebrated and incorporated different types of mushrooms in varying dishes for events.
His unique approach is to combine classics with more unexplored flavours. He doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, rather to offer something slightly different and unexpected to the clientele of Summertown. Chef Nolan and his carefully selected kitchen team bring all they’ve learnt to the table to offer diverse choices for all.
